DTF stands for direct-to-film. It is the method we use for every order since we stopped DTG.
We have stopped DTG printing. All orders are now printed with DTF (direct-to-film), which gives brighter colour, works on cotton, polyester and dark fabrics, and holds up better in the wash. Read why we switched from DTG to DTF.
The four steps
- Your design is printed onto PET film with a white underbase
- Adhesive powder is applied and cured
- The film is heat-pressed onto the garment
- The film is peeled away, leaving a soft, flexible print
